On Saturday 11th July 2026, PSF UK was invited by the Anglo-Indonesian Society (AIS) to deliver a Pencak Silat performance at their annual picnic, held in the grounds of Wisma Nusantara in London. The event brought together the AIS community alongside the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the UK (KBRI) and a host of cultural partners, including the Siswa Sukra gamelan ensemble and the Indonesian Angklung Ensemble Club.
Set across a sun-drenched afternoon, the picnic was a celebration of Indonesian arts and culture — from gamelan and angklung music to traditional dances such as the Legong Condong, Mappadendang, and Rantak, cooking demonstrations, and games. PSF UK was proud to represent the Indonesian martial art of Pencak Silat among such a rich programme.
The audience warmly praised the athletes, and the performance was a fitting representation of Pencak Silat's place within Indonesian heritage — shared with a community that celebrates the ties between Indonesia and the United Kingdom.
