International Paris Open Championships
25-27
March 2005

The Pencak Silat Federation of the UK (PSF UK) sent a team to take part in the 1st International Paris Open Championships, which were organised and hosted by the Association France Pencak Silat (APSF) with the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Paris.

The competition categories consisted of Tanding (Silat Olahraga) and Jurus Tunggal (standardised solo Jurus).  The Championships were open to clubs, which meant that countries could register more than one fighter per category. A total of some 100 competitors from 10 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore and the UK) took part.
