The Pencak Silat Federation UK (PSF UK) travelled to Schoten, Belgium, for the 25th Anniversary Belgium Open Pencak Silat Championship 2026 — one of the most established and respected Pencak Silat competitions in Europe. Held at Sporthal Vordenstein, the championship attracted elite athletes, coaches, officials, and delegations from across Europe and Southeast Asia.
The 2026 edition was particularly competitive, with delegations including Indonesia Team IPSI, Team Satria Muda Indonesia (SMI), Team UNS (University National Surabaya), the Malaysian National Team, and the Singapore National Team. In total, ten nations were represented: Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, France, Holland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

The Belgium Open is recognised as one of the premier and most competitive Pencak Silat championships in Europe, regularly attracting elite competitors from both Europe and Southeast Asia.
For PSF UK athletes, coaches, and officials, participation provided invaluable experience in high-level international competition while strengthening friendships, sporting cooperation, and cultural exchange between nations.
