Inauguration of the European Pencak Silat Federation

EPSF

European Pencak Silat Federation

Persekutuan Pencak Silat Eropa

We are pleased to inform you that following numerous discussions and meetings with
PERSILAT and its' European member countries
a European Pencak Silat Federation (EPSF)

has been set up.

The EPSF was officially inaugurated, in the presence of PERSILAT,

by H.E. Bapak Abdul Irsan SH,

Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Netherlands
on 22 September 2001.

The EPSF is a regional coordinating body of PERSILAT and is therefore governed
by the PERSILAT Constitution.

After the first two-year term, a new Executive Board has been elected at the End-Term Plenary Meeting held in
Hamburg, Germany on 29 November 2003.

The Secretariat of the European Pencak Silat Federation remains in the United Kingdom
and at the following EPSF officials have been appointed to the Executive Board:

President:	-Mr George Fredriksz (NPSB, The Netherlands) (former President: Dr. Hiltrud Cordes, PSUD, Germany)
Vice President:	-Mr Eric Chatelier (AFPS, France) (former Vice-President: Bapak Aidinal Alrashid, PSF UK)
Secretary:	-Ms Susan Gault (PSF UK)
Treasurer:	-Ms Karin Längle (PSF UK)
Head of Technical Council:	-Mr Frans Veetman, The Netherlands (former Heach of Technical Council: Mr Eric Bovelander, Netherlands)

Honorary Council:	-Mr. Ferdinand Pieters (BPSB, Belgium)
	-Ing. Günther Ertl (PSVO, Austria) (pending acceptance)
