Pencak Silat Performance at Wadah inaugural event
At the inaugural event of Wadah, an association set up by Indonesians for the Indonesian community in the UK held at Queens Park Community School on Saturday, 17 May 2008, the PSF UK hosted an information stand about Pencak Silat, and a group of pesilat gave a demonstration of traditional and sports aspects of Pencak Silat to an audience of some 300 people of all ages.
Pencak Silat Performance at University Oxford
On 3 March 2007 a demonstration team from the PSF UK performed as part of a fund-raising event organised by the Indonesian Students Union in the UK. The event at Oxford Brookes University raised money for those affected by the 2004 Tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia.

Pencak Silat Performance at University Oxford
On 24 February 2005 a group of Pencak Silat students from perguruan 'Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham' gave a demonstration of their style as part of the event organised by the Indonesian Students Union in University Oxford to raise fund for Tsunami victims in Indonesia.

Indonesian Students' Union Event
In June 2004 a group of students from perguruan 'Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham' gave Pencak Silat performances at the Imperial College, London, and at the University of Birmingham, as part of Indonesian Cultural convention.
Indonesian Festival
Throughout May 2004, students from the Pencak Silat Federation of the UK (PSF UK) gave Silat demonstrations as part of a month-long cultural exposition, which was held at the Oriental City Complex in North London.
PERSILAT Training Camp 2003
The Pencak Silat Federation of the UK (PSF UK) sent a team of trainers and students to participate in a training programme organised by PSF UK President, Bapak Aidinal Alrashid, with the cooperation of IPSI and PERSILAT. The course was held at the Padepokan Pencak Silat Nasional, Jakarta and at Pantai Carita, Banten.
Muslim News Awards for Excellence 2004
A demonstration of traditional and artistic competition categories by the PSF UK was selected as the entertainment for this prestigious event, held in March 2004 at the Sheraton Hotel Park Lane London.
Indonesian Night
In February 2003, a demonstration teams from Indonesia and from PSF UK gave Silat performances as part of a fund-raising event of the Indonesian Children Relief' (ICF) organised by the Indonesian Students Union at London School of Economics
PERSILAT Training Camp 2001
From 20 July - 3 August the Pencak Silat Federation of the UK (PSF UK) sent a team of trainers from perguruan 'Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham Bugis-Makassar' to participate in a tailored course organized by the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT) and held at the Padepokan in Jakarta.
Perisai Diri Anniversary Celebrations
In October 2000 the perguruan Perisai Diri celebrated its anniversary in London. The celebration that included Silat demonstrations was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador, H.E. Bapak Nana Sutrensa and his wife, the Mayoress of Camden and local dignitaries.
PERSILAT conference in Schoten, Belgium
At the invitation of PERSILAT members of the PSF UK attended a conference called to set up a European Pencak Silat Federation. The conference was held in Schoten on 15 April 2000 and was hosted by the Bond Pencak Silat Belgie (Belgian Pencak Silat Federation). Officials from PERSILAT, PESAKA and the Pencak Silat Federations from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland and the UK attended and a unanimous vote was taken to set u a European Federation. Silat Training Camp 1999
In July 1999 members of the perguruan Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham Bugis-Makassar attended a basic course in Wasit Juri (Sports Silat Referee) as well as in Tanding (Olahraga) at the Padepokan in Jakarta. The course also included joint events with local (Sundanese) Silat Schools and an introduction to local culture such as Jaipongan, ram-fighting and gamelan. Training continued in South Sulawesi, the heart of Bugis-Makassar country, and ended with a short holiday in Bali.
Silat Demonstration at Indonesian School
In May 1999 members of the perguruan Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham Bugis-Makassar gave a Silat demonstration at the Indonesian School in London to help raise funds for the school. As a result, weekly classes for children were started. All fees collected are donated to the up-keep of the Indonesian School.
Silat Demonstration at Grosvenor Hotel
In January 1999 members of the perguruan Perisai Diri gave a Silat demonstration at the Grosvenor Hotel in Central London as part of a charity event to raise funds for mentally handicapped children.
Wasit Juri training course 98
In December 1998 senior members of the PSF UK attended a Wasit Juri (Sports Silat Referee) training course organized by PERSILAT and held at the Padepokan in Jakarta. Four members of the PSF UK successfully completed the course and are now qualified to referee national, regional and international competitions. Training continued in Bali and South Sulawesi.
Perisai Diri Training 98
In March 1998 members of the perguruan Perisai Diri visited Jakarta and Bali to train with fellow Perisai Diri exponents.
Silat Demonstration at L.S.E
In November 1997, members of Pencak Silat Gerak Ilham Bugis-Makassar and Perisai Diri gave a demonstration of their styles at the London School of Economics (LSE). The show was attended by dignitaries from the Indonesian Embassy as well as a huge crowd of students.
World Seni Invitation 97
In September 1997, seven members of the PSF UK attended the 'World Seni Invitation' in Terengganu, Malaysia. The World Invitation formed part of the 3rd Nusantara Silat Festival. The team was led by the PSF Vice President and entered four competitors in four categories. Altogether, the team won 8 medals.
Opening of Padepokan in Jakarta, Indonesia
In April 1997, members of the PSF UK attended the opening of the International Pencak Silat complex in Jakarta, Indonesia. Following the opening the Secretary General of the PSF UK presented the report on the Silat developments and activities in the UK during the past years.
